"The Little-Mod" is an innovative urban infill project in Saint Paul’s West 7th neighborhood that redefines density and sustainable design. This modern duplex offers twelve co-living bedroom/bathroom suites across two units, thoughtfully designed to blend into its surroundings with a Nordic-inspired aesthetic featuring wood and large-format panels.

NOMINN collaborated closely with Double Jack Design Workshop to address the project’s unique site challenges, from significant grade changes and nearby bedrock to a limited buildable footprint. Using Double Jack’s detailed landscape plans and Revit models, we visualized a structure that integrates seamlessly with its environment, emphasizing a minimal impact on the landscape.

The result is a sophisticated, energy-efficient living space that combines innovative design with practical sustainability, providing a forward-thinking housing model for urban density in the heart of Saint Paul.
